2024 SEASON
ryan was given the opportunity to tell the story of the cowgirl tennis team as they competed for an ITA indoor national championship in seattle, washington. throughout this journey, the cowgirls had to win three matches to make it to the championship match. Throughout these matches, they faced adversity including an almost four hour match against conference rival, the texas longhorns, where they won and advanced to the next round against a Stanford team that ended the cowgirls season a year prior. being able to connect the points between each match was the main goal for ryan, and he believed he was able to give elements of not only the intensity but the environment including on the court and in the city of seattle.
in the middle of the most important parts of both cowboy wrestling and cowgirl tennis, ryan traveled with the cowgirls to tempe, Arizona where they swept the sun devils 4-0. the next day, ryan landed in stillwater and immediately headed to the arena to cover the bedlam dual for cowboy wrestling. This was a great chance for ryan to understand the importance of balancing the creative direction of two sports simultaneously.

a huge match for the cowgirls was a win against a perennial powerhouse in the texas longhorns. the longhorns were national champions the last two years, and the cowgirls won 4-3 with it all coming down to the last match. freshman, raquel gonzalez, was the one who secured the victory for the cowgirls as the rest of her teammates rushed to celebrate with her on the court.
cowgirl tennis graduate, alana wolfberg, deserved to be celebrated for her time well spent at oklahoma state, and like all other student-athlete graduates, she received a senior day video. wolfberg had been at oklahoma state for all four years of her undergraduate degree, so she felt very connected to stillwater and the fan base that supported her for these past four years.
